When you experience violent emotions, such as anger, you are out of balance. Explosive energy builds up inside, causing tension and pressure in the upper body. And this energy seeks release.
When you don’t have the proper control your emotions, you allow the pent-up energy to explode, like a violent volcano, saying or doing things you regret later.
Or you try to repress this energy, creating undue pressure and harm on your internal organs, particularly the heart, liver, and female organs.
Neither is healthy nor productive. There is a better and more effective way.
Anger is a form of excessive energy. By regulating your breathing, you can release this energy and harmonize your mind and body without any side effects.
Here’s how…
When you feel anger building up in you, step outside. Find a bush or a small tree that is lower than your height, since you’ll be releasing energy downward.
Inhale and poof out the breath. Make the “poof” sound loudly or gently, depending on the strength of your emotions.
Do it 5 times, or 36 times if the anger is a stronger one.
This way you voluntarily release the anger. In a couple of minutes, you’ll regain your balance with a clearer and calmer mind to face and handle the situation properly.

Hi, I am not an English native speaker and I cannot find the meaning of “poof out” . Could you clarify me this passage?
Thank you.
This is great. Do you have any suggestions for if you cannot step outside?
