Close your eyes. Breathe deeply. Come back into your body. Now, ever so gently, engage your senses, feeling your head, your face, your neck, your shoulders, your arms, your hands, your chest, your belly, your pelvis, your legs, your knees, and finally your feet.
As you move through each part of your body, softly say, “thank you, thank you, thank you.” Take note of any sounds, colors, or sensations that show up along the way. Simply acknowledge them and let them go.
Relax into your body, deeply and completely.
How does it feel to be in your body – your temple and your connection to the Great Mother Earth? It has done everything it can to support you, not only to survive, but also to thrive in this physical world.
It is your best friend, and your loyal counsel. It’s your root, your Muladhara, and the foundation of your life.
It’s where it all began, from the moment you came out of your mother’s womb and offered your first cry, announcing to the world, “I have arrived.”
Yes, you have. And you have the right to be here, on this earth. There is no one else like you. You are absolutely unique. You have a special gift to bring to the world. Without you, the world would be different.
Claim your right, put your feet down, and find your path. See, when you’re deeply rooted in the ground, you can reach high into the sky – to catch the stars, and to manifest your visions and dreams.
Feel it. Feel the countless roots extending from the base of your spine, reaching down and down – deep into the earth. They are so strong, so firm – and mighty powerful.
Take a deep breath in. Take in all the nutrients from the abundant Mother Earth. You’re her beloved child. Everything around you is here to support you and nourish you, so you can grow, blossom and bear fruit.
Breathe out. Let go of the past, any fear for the future, and everything else that you no longer need. Flush them down your long roots – all the way to the center of the earth where they’re absorbed and recycled.
No matter what has happened in the past, or what may happen in the future, you’re safe and supported – now, and whenever you come back to your body.
You see, when you’re in your body, you’re connected with your deep, expansive and powerful roots. You may not remember that they are there at times, but they are always there when you return to your body – to supply you with nourishment you need on your path, and to create boundaries to protect you from harmful influences.
From now on, you are in harmony with your body – your physical being. You’ve created an environment that nourishes you. You’ve chosen to breathe clean air, eat wholesome foods, exercise your body and give it adequate rest. You’ve claimed your space in the world, and are ready to thrive and shine, and make a meaningful contribution to the beautiful earth we all live in.
My Muladhara, I honor you…
