This cycle, my PMS symptoms are stronger than usual. I’ve felt stifled, irritable and fatigued. To combat these symptoms – along with going to bed early and taking good care of myself – I started drinking an herbal tea recommended by Dr. Maoshing Ni, co-founder of Tao of Wellness healing center in Santa Monica.
This tea is simple to make, but quite effective in soothing the stagnation in my body that caused all these unpleasant PMS symptoms.
I make one pot in the morning, put it in a teacup that I carry with me wherever I go, and drink it throughout the day.
All you need is some hawthorn berries and cinnamon.
I put 6-8 hawthorn berries and a teaspoon of cinnamon power in a teacup, and fill it up with freshly boiled water. You can use cinnamon bark or simply cinnamon powders. You can also add some honey if you prefer a sweeter taste.
Give it a try and let us know how you like it.
Thank you Christen for your kind words. I’m passionate about sharing what I’ve learned on my journey. Glad you love the site 🙂
Hawthorn berry helps break down greasy foods, aids digestion and also invigorates the blood flow. It’s not suitable for people who have a weak digestive system though. Here’s how to make the hawthorn berry tea.
