For the past few years my boyfriend, Dean, has been suffering from a very difficult condition. He went to see many Western doctors, and they all told him that there was no cure for his condition, that he basically had to live with it and take drugs for the rest of his life. And those drugs offered little relief from his suffering.
As a last resort, his primary care physician suggested he try acupuncture. “Nothing to lose,” he said, and referred Dean to the Tao of Wellness, a well-respected Chinese acupuncture center in Santa Monica, CA.
Dean was a skeptic, but in a matter of weeks he noticed dramatic improvements in his condition. Every Saturday after his acupuncture treatment, he would talk about his acupuncturist, Jason Moskovitz. Witnessing the remarkable turnaround in Dean’s health, I was totally intrigued by acupuncture and this amazing acupuncturist. So I called Jason up and requested to interview him on PMS-related issues.
He graciously agreed.
On April 8, 2011, I met Jason for the first time at the Tao of Wellness. First of all, he looked much younger than I had imagined. And there was a calm, humble and Zen quality about him that immediately put me at ease. We had a relaxed and insightful conversation, as if we’d been friends all along.
The interview was amazing. I couldn’t have asked for more. Jason was very knowledgeable on this subject and provided a lot of wonderful insights on the root causes of PMS, and ways for women to find PMS relief.
The interview videos are broken down into two parts, each about 9 minutes. They’re a little long, but totally worth the time. Each video is further divided into specific topics. I’ve listed them in a table of contents below. It may help you understand the structure of the videos and navigate them more easily. You can view the videos by clicking on the links below.

As Jason put it, acupuncture is not just about treating PMS symptoms. It’s about addressing the whole person. It’s an ancient philosophy and a proven methodology that helps bring the mind and body back into balance.
Self-education, proper nutrition, regular exercise, ways to manage stress effectively, and community support are all so important in helping women address PMS symptoms and find PMS relief.
I hope you find this information helpful. Hopefully, it will shed some light on how to bring more balance into your life, so that you can live more vibrantly. It’s inspired me for sure.
