Intro: PMS is Tough. You’re Tougher!

Last updated on April 4, 2018 By Jing J. Leave a Comment

For many years I had PMS and didn’t know it. Every month sudden dark moods, angry outbursts and hysterical cries would overtake me out of the blue. It was frustrating, painful, embarrassing, and wreaked havoc with my personal life.

It destroyed my relationships and dampened my self-esteem. I thought there was something seriously wrong with me, that I was a selfish bitch and a terrible person.

Then one day I got sick and tired of being a helpless victim of this seemingly uncontrollable demon force and decided to take matters into my own hands.

I learned that there’s such thing called premenstrual syndrome – PMS. Though it is still a mystery to the modern science and medicine, it is not a demon force – something to be feared. Nor is it a defect in character – something to feel shamed of.

It is a combination of biological, psychological and behavioral phenomena experienced by 70-90% of menstrual women, including me. And it is something that can be managed – either on your own, or with the help of medical professionals.

I dove in, researched extensively on this subject, and experimented with various methods to help myself better manage PMS. It was not easy, and not always pretty.

But when I came out the other side, I discovered that PMS is tough, but I am tougher.

Today I still experience PMS from time to time. But it is manageable. I know what it is now. I recognize the signs, know when it may appear, and I’m no longer afraid of it. Nor do I feel ashamed because of it.

On my quest to find answers and solutions to PMS, I discovered much about myself. I learned and grew as a person, and as a woman. Today I feel healthier, happier – and more passionate and fulfilled than I have ever been.

I learned that, in many ways, PMS is a blessing in disguise. It has led me to a path of self-discovery, acceptance and love. It has helped me find my passion and purpose – to help other women overcome PMS and embrace their womanhood – and helped me to appreciate and enjoy the full measure of what it is to be a woman.

I’ve now taken what I learned from my research, personal challenges and triumphs, and developed five steps to Finding Your Own PMS Relief to help others overcome PMS, a program I am going to share with you.

It’s simple – but it takes an open mind to experiment and figure out what works and doesn’t work for you. And it takes commitment and discipline to develop new habits and truly make them your own.

But if I can do it, you can do it too. And I’m willing to be your guide.

So I hope you’ll take this journey with me. You have two choices: suffer in pain from your PMS, or make something good out of it.

The choice is yours. Luckily, with the right understanding, easy-to-use tools and supportive communities, this journey doesn’t have to be a lonely or painful one.

It may even be fun. And if you embrace it, it can be one of the most enriching and rewarding experiences in your life.
