The Chinese Happy Pill for PMS Relief

Last updated on September 6, 2018 By Jing J. 1 Comment

A few months ago I went to see my acupuncturist for PMS symptoms. She recommended Jia Wei Xiao Yao Wan (Free & Easy Wanderer Plus) as an herbal remedy to calm my premenstrual tension, irritability and fatigue.

I’ve been taking it for several months now, and it’s been working wonders for me! I feel more energetic, calmer and happier overall. It’s almost as if I’ve had a tune-up. My body and moods seem to resonate on a more balanced and harmonious tone.

It turns out that Free and Easy Wanderer Plus is a famous and popular herbal remedy for Liver Qi Stagnation, one of the most common causes of premenstrual syndromes.

Learn what is liver qi stagnation and what it has to do with PMS.

It has been used by millions of people in China over the centuries, and it’s a proven natural and safe remedy to relieve anxiety, irritability, stress, and depression due to the challenges of daily life or premenstrual tension. It’s also indicated for headache, hypochondria or abdominal pains, night sweating, irregular menstruation, breast distension, fatigue and reduced appetite.

And because of its anti-depressant effect, it’s earned a really cool name – “The Happy Pill.” Of course! It really seems to help promote an overall sense of wellbeing with very few side effects.

Key Ingredients:

Angelica Extract (root), Bupleurum Extract (root), Atractylodes Extract (root), Moutan Extract (root-bark), Mentha Extract (rhizome), Hoelen Extract (fungi), Licorice Extract (root), White Peony Extract (root), and Gardenia Extract (root).

Suggested Use:

Take 8 pills, three times a day. You can take it throughout your cycle if you have moderate to severe PMS, or take it 7 days before your cycle if you have relatively moderate symptoms.

I took the full dose for the first two cycles. And now I’ve reduced my dose to one to two times a day.

Caution:

Even though there are few side effects associated with Free & Easy Wonderer Plus, it’s not recommended for use during pregnancy or while nursing. It may also not be suitable if you have menorrhagia (heavy menstrual bleeding).

If you want to use it for long-term or in excess of recommended amounts, or if you have underlying health conditions, you should consult your health practitioner before use.
