Hey Girl! It’s Me, Goddess: What To Do When The Goddess Calls

Last updated on April 2, 2018 By Ikam A. Leave a Comment

A lot of times, we don’t seek out the Goddess. She seeks us. Maybe you’re caught in the everyday hustle bustle of your job and don’t find time to honor yourself or take off some stress. The Goddess will find a way to slide into your life and give you some much-needed TLC.

The Goddess might drop little hints or signals across your path to make you focus on certain ideas that might be beneficial to you. Ever experience that synchronicity? That sign from beyond whether through dreams or recurring thoughts or recurring conversations with others keeps crossing your path?

That’s her! And she wants you to find beauty, strength, and power in her rituals and to develop compassion, honor, and reverence for the world around you. Every experience can be a sacred one, and every second can be your moment of zen.

How do you know you’ve come face to face with the Goddess?

Easy, just pay attention to the world around you. Nothing is an accident. If you’re constantly coming across the same message or running into the same people, the universe might be trying to tell you something.

Ever notice a theme during certain points in your life? It can manifest in dreams and visions, or in recurring thoughts or ideas, or perhaps through some sort of epiphany where it all comes together and makes sense. Sensing that sacred Goddess energy is crucial in making a connection to your higher Self– the Self that can offer you guidance and wisdom if you know how to ask.

Experiment with your Goddess.

You might have a ruling one you feel close to, or you might conjure up different ones at different times during your life, depending on your needs. The importance is that you keep that connection to the sacred open so that you can bring magic and wonder into your everyday life.

Another way to invoke the Goddess is by exploring myths and legends, and seeing what themes resonate with you.

Having problems with love? Aphrodite might be your gal. Are you really into the moon? Selene the moon Goddess might be calling out to you.

Once you pick a Goddess to focus on, take a moment to identify with her energy.

Is she mostly motherly, reckless, or wise? Is she wild and impulsive, or is she more prudent and intellectual? Whatever Goddess you choose, it has to resonate with you or with whatever issue you have at hand. Listen to you’re her and feel the energies she embodies, and use this wisdom to approach situations in your own life.

Problems at work? Kali can remove your obstacles. Feel like going into the underworld for a bit? Demeter and some pomegranate can help you on your trip. The whole idea is to see what symbols and rituals can work for you and what the Goddess is trying to communicate.

It is possible to engage in conversations with the Goddess every day. The trick is to be open and receptive. And when she calls, don’t be afraid to answer your cell.

ikam-acosta-cycle-harmony-bloggerEveryone has heard of major goddesses like Aphrodite, Persephone, and Isis, but how can we really connect with them and tap into their power in a way that is meaningful to us and useful in our everyday lives?

Goddess energy is all around us, and we can use it to better ourselves, become more insightful and intuitive, and reflect on how to develop our innate talents and abilities. Recognizing and invoking the goddess in your everyday life is important if you want to get closer to your feminine mystique and access the collective image of the feminine.

And this is the purpose of our Everyday Goddess series. Stay tuned and enjoy!

May you embrace and embody the radiant goddess within you! ~ Ikam
