My Favorite Quotes, from Women to Women

Last updated on March 23, 2018 By Jing J. 2 Comments

I love great quotes, especially the short ones. In one or two lines, they can unleash your courage, open your heart, teach you simple yet profound wisdoms, and open up a whole new world of possibilities…

Time and again, they’ve never failed to pick me up when I fell, elevate my moods when I felt down, and inspire me to continue on my journey – to becoming who I truly am.

Here are some of my favorite quotes, from several enlightened women of the past and the present. Maybe you and I can write our own in the future.

12. The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen nor touched, but are felt in the heart. ~ Helen Keller

13. The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud. ~ Coco Chanel

Those are great quotes! It’s motivating me to put together a list of quotes that I can read to inspire and root me when I’m feeling down.

    Here’s a few that I like:

    – H. Fred Dale

“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference”.
    – Reinhold Niebuhr

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.”
    – Ghandi

“The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”
    – Ghandi

“If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading”
    – Lao Tzu

“The only Zen you can find on the tops of mountains is the Zen you bring up there.”
    – Robert M. Pirsig

“Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.”
    – Confucius

“If you’re not laughing, then you’re not getting it.”
    – Some Zen monk

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
    – Ghandi

“Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.”
    – Ghandi
