Many years ago I was searching for who I was and what I was here to do. So I explored and experimented, on many fronts. One of which was a trip with psychedelic mushrooms.
I only did them once – because it left such a profound and lasting impression on me that I felt no need for another. Today, I’m still pondering the experience and what it all meant.
I remember during my trip, a friend asked me, “Who are you?” And I replied, “I’m the eternal mother.”
Later on when I woke up from the experience, I was astonished and shaken by my response, because the concept of “eternal mother” neither existed in my vocabulary nor occupied my conscious thoughts – until that day.
Many years later, looking back, I can’t help but wonder if it was the divine feminine that spoke to me on that particular day.
I can’t help but wonder if it was the divine feminine that sent me off on a quest to understand the feminine principle, to embrace it, embody it, and express it.
And I can’t help but wonder if the creation of cycleharmony.com was a part of that divine plan…
Growing up I learned and became skilled at many masculine principles – to take action, to work hard, and to succeed. But I never really had a chance to embrace the feminine – the playful, sensual, soft, vulnerable and creative side of myself.
And ever since, the feminine part of me has been trying very hard to get in touch with me, in more ways than you can imagine: dreams, anger outbursts, PMS, even through a psychedelic experience.
I understand now that there is a dynamic and harmonious dance between the yin and yang, the feminine and masculine, within each one of us.
If there’s too much yang, we get stressed out, irritated, angry and hard. PMS, period pain, or other menstrual disharmonies are perhaps the ways our feminine cries out to get our attention.
If there’s too much yin, we may be too soft and yielding. We may be afraid to stand up for ourselves. And we may lack the drive to take the necessary actions to bring our visions into the realm of reality.
For me, it’s clear that I need to learn more about the feminine principle and incorporate it into my life, and my being.
In the past several years I have been embarking on a journey to awaken and embody the radiant goddess within me. And it has been such an enriching, fascinating, and amazing journey…

wow that’s pretty cool! I love that your subconscious knew about the eternal mother before you had “learned” about it. It’s amazing the truths we recall/uncover when we approach it with a different thought process and just allow the information to flow. Thanks for sharing!
