The past couple of weeks have been intense. I’ve felt tired, sluggish and uninspired. Something I attribute to some major changes my daughter is going through, changes which have affected me, too.
Almost 16 months old, my daughter has been transitioning from a quiet baby to an energetic toddler. She walks everywhere and repeats everything she’s learned. So I’ve been chasing her around to keep her away from danger while listening to the loud and passionate chants of her favorite words/subjects such as “Car,” “Quack,” “Doggie,” “Mommy” and “Daddy” – all day long.
She also used to give me 2-3 hours of time to work during the day while she took her naps. But as she has grown more active, this time has become shorter and less dependable.
So being more tired, with less “me time” and less Cycle Harmony time, I found myself increasingly stressed. And you know how it goes. When life is filled with stress, everything becomes a joyless chore.
I disliked how I felt and where this was going. Being on the journey for a while, I also knew that it was my resistance to the change that had thrown me off balance – and it was time to find a new equilibrium, first in my mind, and then in my life.
How about you? What challenges are you facing right now? Are you resisting the change or adapting to what’s happening and where the energy wants to flow?
On this powerful full moon on the Summer Solstice, I’d like to share a message from MysticMamma which resonated with me…
“Resistance is fear-based and usually accompanied by negative emotions such as anger, martyrdom, judgment, resentment and blame. It can cause depression and anxiety negating inspiration, enthusiasm and your zest for life.
“Adaptability is the ability to take a current situation or circumstance that is either unfamiliar or somehow unacceptable, and instead of resisting or blocking it, accepting and allowing it through your own choice.
“So instead of putting all of your energy into resistance and judgment, choose instead to put it into being resourceful and proactive in any situation.
“When you can be proactive with your choice to accept and be flexible, the universe opens more possibilities for you. Instead of focusing on the door that is closing, look around you at the ones that are opening.
“The more flexible and accepting you can be, the more resourceful you will be with an easier time adjusting and adapting to current situations.”
So true. In my own case, I decided that it was up to me to manage my time better. I could get up earlier and get some focused work done before my day as a mommy began.
So I’ve implemented a Miracle Morning Ritual, which has made a big difference. By starting the day right, I feel inspired and energized to tackle other challenges along the way – and I am also more present to enjoy the blessings and miracles around me.
P.S. I’ll share more about my Miracle Morning experience in another post. Meanwhile, with this Summer Solstice Full Moon, I wish you wisdom to accept what’s happening in your life, and courage, strength and resourcefulness to adapt to whatever change that lies ahead of you…
