When did you last feel attracted to someone? It’s a great feeling, just being drawn towards someone without thinking or understanding why. Likewise, we can sometimes feel repelled by someone, wanting to be away from them. We often call it chemistry. But really, it’s magnetism.
The greatest force in the cosmos is magnetism. It is the force that drives the universe. It is what makes the earth move around the sun and lovers come together.
There are three things we need to understand about magnetism.
Firstly, everything (everything!) has a magnetic charge, or polarity. Secondly, the strength of this charge or polarity varies and is changeable. And then there’s a third thing: everything affects everything else.
Looking at the earth and the moon, we know the moon is caught in the earth’s gravity and therefore orbits the earth. Likewise, the earth is caught in the sun’s gravity and orbits the sun.
And yet we know that sometimes something can interrupt a planet’s orbit and change it. A rogue comet, for instance, can swoosh by and change an orbit by its dense magnetic charge. A random thing swoops in unexpectedly and shakes things up.
The law of magnetism plays out in our lives as well.
We are both attracted to and attract other things and people. Much of what happens to us occurs because we are either open or closed to opportunities or changes, or because we know or don’t know what we want.
It’s helpful to know what you want. You’re more likely to get what you want, if you know what it is in the first place, if you attract it with all your might. It is a fine thing to take responsibility for this, and to hone your magnetic charge as best you can.
That being said, don’t make the mistake in thinking everything hinges on your own ability to attract.
Sometimes a bigger magnet may just be swooshing by and knock you off course. It won’t be your fault, and it isn’t down to your lack of affirmation and visualization. It’s just a bigger magnetic force that’s affected you.
So if you’re struggling, give yourself a break. It can make a huge difference to know that you haven’t done anything wrong. Think of it as a rogue comet shaking things up and take this opportunity to revisit and evaluate what you really want.
If you decide you really, really want meaningful relationships, happiness and abundance for yourself and those you love – chances are you will get that and much more. The reason is that connecting with others is what gives our lives meaning.
Connecting with others make our magnetic field bigger and more powerful.
Human beings are social beings, and we find meaning in interactions and connections with those around us. And through these interactions and connections, each individual magnet is strengthened and charged — and grow to bigger and stronger magnets.
The network of connection is our strength. Social movements are made of this and this is how we change the world.
So the next time you feel someone’s presence in the crowd around you, look at them. Meet their eyes and smile. Make that connection, spread a little love and enable them to do the same.
And the next time you sit with your spouse or your friend, know that the mysterious bond that connects you together is magnetism. Charge your magnet and theirs, and change the world. It’s absolute magic.
